If you have 2 minutes, consider calling Chair Bryan's office at 916-319-2055 . Consider the following script:
"Hi, my name is [YOUR NAME]. I'm calling to ask the Chair to vote NO on AB 2226 when it comes before the Natural Resources Committee."
If they ask why:
"AB 2226 would repeal California's ban on plastic produce bags, a law the Legislature passed in 2022 with SB 1046. That law was a commonsense fix: it required the little bags we use for fruits and vegetables to be reusable, recyclable, or compostable, because the old plastic ones were contaminating our compost facilities and ending up in waterways. Repealing it now would flood stores with plastic produce bags again, and it would undo real progress. Especially with everything that's happened with SB 54, I'm worried about California backtracking on its plastics commitments. I'm asking Assemblymember Bryan to stand against industry and vote NO on AB 2226."
